The dynamic duo of Regan Odom & Tekeesha Odom know that blood really is thicker than water. This father-daughter songwriting team from Western North Carolina has been performing and writing music for most of their individual lives, and for many years as co-writing partners.
Regan has been involved in music for about as long as he can remember. His musical career has been very diverse; from his ‘daze’ as lead vocalist/lead guitarist in several heavy metal bands to trios, duets, and even solo acoustic performances. He loves performing, but he gets the most enjoyment out of writing songs and has always dreamed of becoming a hit songwriter. Regan has penned over 500 songs and his influences vary as much as the music he plays, with The Beatles getting much of the credit for sparking his initial interest in the art of songwriting.
Tekeesha started out playing piano before finally asking her dad to teach her to play guitar. Needless to say, her dad was thrilled! She began writing songs soon after her guitar lessons commenced, and it wasn’t long before her and her dad were collaborating and writing songs together. This quickly became a full partnership, and now it is rare to see either one of them write a song without input from the other. Tekeesha has currently written over 60 songs and the contrasting mixture of her musical influences is evident in the songs she writes.
Regan and Tekeesha, along with Tammy Odom (Regan’s wife/Tekeesha’s mother) perform regularly in local venues and churches throughout Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. They are truly a musical family and they hope to be in the studio soon to begin recording their debut album. They are all also members of Bandwagon Fallacy, a trio that performs a mixture of classic rock, country, folk, gospel, and of course their own original songs. Bandwagon Fallacy is an eclectic band that showcases the extraordinary songwriting ability and incredible musicianship of Regan and Tekeesha, as well as the stunning vocal work of the entire family. Their unique blend of musical talents has produced a winning formula with an obvious ear for the past that is only eclipsed by their eye toward the future!
