Stephen Ferguson

Stephen Ferguson was born in Knoxville, TN and spent his early childhood in Indiana but as an adolescent child moved back to Tennessee. Stephen has lived in East Tennessee for the biggest part of his life. He has been a musician since being able to self-teach himself the guitar and piano. In his earlier years, he performed with many bands and groups around the Knoxville area. Life came and he was self-employed for many years with his own company as he raised first his son, then his three grandchildren, and music kind of fell to the background but the love and passion for music never ceased. He fell in love with 50’s music and is a mastermind of lyrics. His biggest musical influences have been the Beatles, Lynard Skynard, Elvis and Charlie Daniels among many others. He suffered some of lifetime’s loss and that is what led him to songwriting. He has produced and recorded a gospel album and is currently working on 2nd album which will be country, blues, with a touch of southern rock. Stephen has been a member of the Knoxville Songwriters Association for the past four years and is currently on the Board of Directors. He continues to write and sing on a daily basis. Stephen still enjoys playing the guitar, piano and drums, but nothing tops singing his songs. He currently plays at local venues around the Knoxville and surrounding areas.
