Scott Forbes is a story teller.
At the age of 15 when Scott first began writing, he wrote the lyrics to a song that was later recorded by an artist in Buffalo, NY. In 1996 he also received the Chautauqua County Vocal Scholarship for Voice. After a failed attempt with a band in Western New York, he moved to Central Florida in 1999 and began performing at local open mics with only his acoustic guitar and original material. He quickly gained attention from local musicians and fans for his unique sound and relatable lyrics.
His songs are stories about life, love, and heartache, painted through sound with his unique voice and acoustic guitar. Scott performed almost nightly while working full time and raising a family, and eventually had to walk away from music in 2005. Although away from the stage, he continued to write and hone his craft on the guitar.
In 2012, Scott returned to play his music, write new songs, and live in the moment through music. His sound is natural and raw, always being true to himself and his audience.
After many years of performing his songs with just an acoustic guitar, he released a full band EP titled “12” in September of 2014. The CD is available at live shows. Scott relocated to Chattanooga, TN in early 2016 where he continues to write and perform.
