“San Francisco’s Megan Slankard has more going for her than seems reasonably fair. She’s whip smart, funny, a really solid guitar player and then she starts singing and blows the (unfinished) roof off the joint,” says Pittsburgh, PA’s Yellow Couch Sessions.

Megan is a native California indie rocker and has sold over 35,000 copies of her first four independently released CDs. She is currently touring across the US to support her new, and fifth album, “Running on Machinery”, which was recorded with the help of Nashville producer, Alex Wong (Vienna Teng, Delta Rae).

Some of Megan’s adventures include opening for Jamie Cullum’s sold-out show at The Fillmore in San Francisco, playing electric guitar on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live with Jeff Campbell, singing the National Anthem to a crowd of 45,000 Giants baseball fans, performing duets with Pat Monahan of Train, and touring with Dire Straits co-founder David Knopfler through Europe.

In addition to touring as a solo artist this year, Slankard will also be touring with her side project, The BOSE Troubadours (Jamie Kent, Matthew Szlachetka, and Jeff Campbell). The songwriters met through their mutual relationship with BOSE audio, and find that traveling together, sharing resources, and collaborating on stage make touring more efficient and rewarding. The group performs in a Nashville-in-the- Round style, sharing songs and stories from the road, and will be embarking on their third tour across the US this summer.
