Lillian Glanton has big dreams and a big voice to go along with Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival, Lillian Glaton, Songwriter, SMSWF, Gatlinburg TNthose dreams. At the tender age of 16, Lillian already has dozens of original songs under her belt and she now has her sights on Music City. Lillian is mature beyond her years and the lyrics in her songs reflect that. At the age of 13, after selling some of her Black Baldy cattle, Lillian was able to pay for her recording session time to record her original songs at the world famous FAME Recording Studio in Muscle Shoals. While there, she met the amazing Rick Hall, Founder of FAME.
Lillian began guitar lessons at the age of 5 and by the age of 10 she was writing her own songs. She began performing and immediately knew that she wanted to be an entertainer. Lillian has learned to experiment with various chord structures while composing her own original songs. Lillian’s musical influences range from Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Dixie Chicks, and today’s women of country. At the age of 15, she auditioned for the Final Season of American Idol. Over a million people auditioned and only 200 were given a Gold Ticket to Hollywood and she was one of them! The “Idol” experience has made her more determined than ever!
Lillian’s goal is to touch people’s lives through her lyrics and music. Lillian wants to be a role model for her generation and beyond. Born and raised in Athens, Alabama, along the Elk River, Lillian has grown up on Southern hospitality and many of the values that country music embraces. Living on a Poultry farm, Lillian is a true, down-home country girl and is a member of her High School Bass Fishing Team. Lillian has written songs that the world needs to hear. Lillian can’t wait to share her heart and soul with the world!
