LaLa Deaton is a Nashville-based Americana/country/big band jazz singer-songwriter. Formerly a member of the band Sweetwater Rose, LaLa released her first solo album in 2014, an industry-praised, all-original, 1940s-style, big band Christmas album. LaLa followed up with an Americana/country EP, “Dare,” in the summer of 2016 and is currently working on a full-length country album to be released Fall of 2017. LaLa spends much of her time writing for other artists and has had songs cut by Bailey James, Sha Na Na, Sweetwater Rose, Ambyr Effect, Jon Nite, Susan Erwin, Clarkia Cobb, Michael Browning, Charlie Rey (The Voice) and Mike Short Jr. (Sweet Home Alabama reality series) to name a few. As an artist, LaLa has played everywhere from the famed Bluebird Cafe in Nashville to the House of Blues and Molly Malones in LA, as well as the Key West Songwriter’s Festival, Pensacola Beach Songwriter’s Festival, Dale Hollow Lake Music Festival and the upcoming Smoky Mountain Songwriter’s Festival. When she’s not making her own music, you can find her doing session work, touring and singing gigs with artists such as Bekka Bramlett, Jim Lauderdale, Cooper & the Jam, Luci Lampe, Bailey James, Turk Tresize, and Joshua Gray and the Graysmiths. LaLa’s albums, “Picture Perfect Christmas,” and “Dare,” are currently available on iTunes, Spotify and online at www.laladeaton.com.
