The Hippie Soul Sisters are three talented and accomplished singer songwriters who got together originally through Christi Bauerlee’s band in 2012.

The Hippie Soul Sisters are Christi Bauerlee, Robin Ruddy and Kelli Nixon.  They started going out to writer’s nights together to perform and one night, when they were featured at the Tuesday Night Acoustic Jam at the Commodore Café in Nashville, John Haring said “You girls need a name.” After a round of martinis the Hippie Soul Sisters were born. And the rest is history.

They are now writing together in Nashville and working on their first EP release.

They are currently playing gigs regionally and are working on booking the 2016 Festival Circuit and  Women’s conferences.

Christi Bauerlee

Artist/Songwriter

As an artist, Christi became most notably recognized for her version of the Edwin Starr classic, War, which aired every Monday night for three seasons as the theme song for the hit TV show Family Law on CBS.

She sang background vocals for Neil Young, has been seen and heard on the television show NASHVILLE, Star Search, Days of Our Lives, Mind of Mencia, Lawless, Jake 2.0, Something about Mary, Pensacola, Striptease, Saved By the Light, Gilmore Girls, SKULLS 3, Jay Leno, The Late Night Show, GRAND OLE OPRY WSM Radio and also heard on over 250 radio stations nationally.

Christi has performed all over the world and her music has been recorded by various artists along with International cuts in Australia, New Zealand, and London.  Currently Christi is writing with several artists and other songwriters in Nashville, New York and Los Angeles.  

In addition to music, Christi co-owns the Advertising Marketing company

nomADic genius, she is partners at Losers Coolsprings Bar & Grill, and owns a healthy vending company YOUR Healthy Vending.  

Robin Ruddy

Musician/Artist/Producer/Songwriter

Robin Ruddy, originally from Miami Florida, won a Grammy Award in the category of Best Traditional Folk Album in 2005, for playing banjo and singing on a David Ball cut that got included in a project called Beautiful Dreamer; Songs of Stephen Foster.

She recently toured with Lynn Anderson playing pedal steel and banjo, and has also worked in bands as a utility side-person with notable artists like Rod Stewart, Ray Stevens, Vince Gill, Deborah Allen, David Ball, Terry Clark, playing anything from Pedal Steel, Banjo, Dobro, Acoustic Guitar, to Mandolin.  

She’s written songs that have been recorded by The Darlins, Savannah Lynne,  Sarah Alison Turner, Holland Marie, Tim Watson, Emma Leigh, Kelsey K , Wade Trammell, and many other artists.

She is currently writing and producing music for TV/Film, and is working on the new Hippie Soul Sisters project.  

She is the Author of her second book titled Coconuggets,10-Secrets to Success in a Coconut Shell. The first book is a banjo instructional book called The Ruddy Method- Beginner banjo.

Robin and her husband Larry Sheridan currently own and operate, a commercial recording studio in Nashville the Parlor Studio, a production company Parlor Productions, and a publishing company Best Built Songs, where they take pride in creating new music and developing new talent.

Kelli Nixon

Artist/Songwriter

Growing up, Kelli won many singing contests, and went on to sing with a local band in Indiana that toured the casino circuit.

She has opened for Rascal Flatts, Jodee Messina, and Neal McCoy.

She sang back-up for David Frizell.

Kelli became a featured singer at The Nashville Palace soon after she moved to Tennessee, has recorded been in the recording studio singing back-up.

She is currently working on writing new music for herself and for the female empowered Hippie Soul Sisters.
