Caleb Slade Johnson

Caleb Johnson PicCaleb Slade Johnson is a 2012 graduate of Grainger High School and plans to attend Walters State Community College in the Fall. He has lived in Grainger County all of his life and that is where he draws a lot of his inspiration for the songs that he writes. Caleb has enjoyed music from a very young age. His Papaw bought him his first guitar when he was only 4 years old and has enjoys playing since then.  He loves playing music anywhere and anytime he has the opportunity. He uses every experience as a learning opportunity to grow and improve his skills. He was selected by our local newspaper’s Focus on Youth for his musical interest and talents.

Caleb has performed at local festivals, restaurants, coffee houses, churches, schools, and many community events. Caleb has a special passion for songwriting and to date has written about 30 songs.  He is a member of the Hillbilly Culture Club. At their resent conference he played at the writer’s open round at the Commodore Grille. Caleb has also played at Roosters and The Red Rooster in Nashville at their songwriter’s night. The band, Snake Holler, that Caleb is the lead singer in, won The Battle of the Bands at the Jefferson County Fair this year playing two songs that Caleb wrote. His band will also be playing at the Grand Reopening-Shop with a Cop Motorcycle Ride at Colboch Harley Davidson in Morristown. His band will also be in Sept. edition of Southern Biker Magazine.

Caleb loves music, is not afraid of hard work, is willing to listen to advice to improve his skills and craft in songwriting.  Playing music is all he has ever really wanted to do.
