Blake Robinson is a native East Tennessean. His love for the Smoky Mountains led him to settle in Gatlinburg, where he’s resided for the last ten years. The son of a Baptist minister, Blake’s earliest musical influences and training were cultivated in the local church and his home, where his Mother played piano and the family often sang together. Playing piano and harmonica at an early age, Blake listened to all types of music and began imitating different singers from a wide range of styles. He received his first guitar at age 15, and learned to play from family and friends
Blake has been playing professionally for fifteen years, and has been able to pursue music as his fulltime job for the last ten years, performing solo and averaging 264 shows per year. He has released three albums independently, mixing folk, old-time gospel, folk-rock covers and originals. Blake is set to release several new original projects soon, and plans on continuing to explore all aspects of music and creativity, with a desire to always make art his priority. The drive to pursue creativity, rather than financial gain, lies at the heart of his approach to songwriting and performing.
