Aaron Clafton

Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival, Aaron Clafton, Songwriter, SMSWF, Gatlinburg, TNMeet Nashville singer-songwriter Aaron Clafton. His latest release Do You Love Someone is the perfect blend of country and soul with a hint of caffeine. Do You Love Someone is the follow up single to his first album, Running Wild
Clafton’s passion for music started at a young age in his hometown of Sauk Rapids, MN. He grew up singing with his hero’s in the radio; country legends like Randy Travis, Alan Jackson and George Strait were his first influences. Guided by his grandfather Ken Clafton, Aaron began learning the piano and eventually the guitar. Songwriting came naturally for Clafton. Before he even picked up an instrument he was making up music and lyrics. Eventually he was introduced to a guitar and everything changed.
For Clafton, his songwriting became an outlet for expression. Clafton found moderate success in a CMT songwriting contest with a song he wrote called ‘October Air.’ He remembers the moment his song was selected by CMT and thinking that music is what he was meant to do.
Clafton attended college at Bemidji State University where he obtained a Marketing degree. While at school Clafton made rounds at local bars and events playing covers and original music. He finally made his way into his first recording studio to record his first project ‘Running Wild’ released in 2015.
Currently, Clafton is based in Nashville, TN.
